Jia Qinglin, Chairman of CPPCC, and member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, delivers an important speech on the second Africa-China Young Leader Forum.
On June 18th 2012, the second Africa-China Young Leader Forum was grandly held in Beijing. Member of the Political Bureau Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chairman of CPPCC Jia Qinglin attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Approximately 200 representatives from 38 African countries and China including H.E. former Namibian President Sam Nujoma gathered together, and discussed on China-Africa cooperation and youth development.
Mr. Li Ruohong makes a speech on the second Africa-China Young Leaders Forum
Chairman Li Ruohong of China World Peace Foundation stated at the forum that today under the circumstance of international political transformation and unstable global economy, no country could achieve sustainable development in an isolated or hostile environment. Considering the past traditional relationship or present common needs, the challenge and crisis, as well as disaster and happiness, all require China and Africa to explore and establish a new type of relationship featuring mutual respect, mutual tolerance and mutual support hand in hand.
Chairman Li Ruohong also introduced to the representatives how China World Peace Foundation has established international alliance in art, education, sports and health through the public welfare mode of “Peace plus One”. He also introduced the development type of Chinese NGO and expressed his hope that this forum would help to strengthen China-Africa relationship and support UN Millennium Goal.
